The Dunmore Lodge, hit by a horrible snowstorm, is trapped between two avalanches.  When a murder takes place at the lodge everyone is a suspect.

Take a step back in time as ASU Museum celebrates Black History Month

 

The Arkansas State University Museum invites everyone to celebrate Black History Month on Tuesday, February 5, from 5 until 7 p.m.

The free event will begin in the auditorium (Room 182) with a presentation entitled “Art as Resistance:  The History and Significance of African-American Quilts” by Dr. Cherisse Jones-Branch, associate professor of history.  A replica of an Underground Railroad quilt will be on display in the Atrium Gallery.

The Arkansas Delta Writing Project (ADWP) at Arkansas State University is now accepting applications for its 2013 Summer Writing Institute for Teachers.

The summer institute will be held at ASU’s Department of Teacher Education from June 4 through 28.

Bluegrass Monday to feature Monroe Crossing

Monroe Crossing will perform a concert of bluegrass music on Monday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Collins Theatre, 120 West Emerson Street, in downtown Paragould, Ark.  The concert is part of the Bluegrass Monday concert series presented by KASU 91.9 FM at Arkansas State University. 

KASU will literally “pass the hat” to collect money to pay the group.  The suggested donation is $5 per person.

Peter Jankovic Ensemble bringing Latin flair to The Ritz

Tickets are still available for this week's performance by the Petar Jankovic Ensemble.

The concert, which is sponsored by the Arts Council of Mississippi County, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at The Ritz.

Jankovic is an international award-winning classical guitarist and a faculty members at the prestigious Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

Exhibition opens tonight at Bradbury Gallery

 

An Arkansas State University professor’s dream lives on 18 years after its inception.

The Delta national Small Prints Exhibition opens to the public tonight at 5 at the Bradbury Gallery in the Fowler Center on the ASU campus.

Founded in 1996, the exhibition was the creation of Evan Lindquist, emeritus professor of art, who served on the ASU faculty from 1963 to 2003.

The exhibition features 55 works from 46 artists from around the world.
