Dollar General hosting career fair

 

Dollar General needs 10,000 new employees.

To fill that tall order, the company will host a career fair this Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dollar General store located at 2118 S. Caraway.

Dollar General representatives will be available to discuss opportunities, receive resumes and discuss long-term opportunities with candidates.

Entergy Arkansas, Inc. is doing its part to help a Monette factory keep rolling toward a cooler, greener future.

On Monday, Colson Caster received a $28,021 incentive check from the Entergy Arkansas, Inc. Commercial and Industrial Custom Program for installing insulating blankets on their injection molding machines.

A couple of Jonesboro businesses will soon pack up and move…to new locations.

Haag Brown Commercial announced Tuesday The Refinery Christian apparel store and Wings to Go plan to relocate to the Fairgrounds Re-Development on Stadium Boulevard.

The Refinery, which is currently located in the Mall at Turtle Creek, will join Starbucks Coffee Company and Men’s Wearhouse clothing store in the new three-tenant Parkwood Center which is currently under construction.  The building will face Stadium Boulevard.

Then ExperienceWorks is looking for you.

The national, nonprofit company will hold a recruitment fair today until 1 p.m. at the St. Bernards Senior Life Center in Jonesboro.

To be eligible, applicants must be 55 or older, unemployed, have incomes of $14,363 per year or less for a family of one ($19,388 for a family of two) and live in Clay, Craighead, Greene, Lawrence, Poinsett and Randolph Counties.

New restaurant applies for private club license

They haven’t opened for business yet.

But when they do, Natural Steak Sandwich Company hopes to have a license to sell alcohol.

According to the Department of Finance and Administration’s Alcoholic Beverage Control board, last week the business applied for a Private Club Class A license.

The restaurant is located in the Shoppes at Hilltop, 3410 E. Johnson in Jonesboro.
