Bono farmer named to state soybean board | Business

Shannon Davis of Bono has been named chairman of the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board.

Davis, who was appointed to the position by Governor Mike Beebe, will serve two years on the board.

Gary Sitzer of Weiner was also named secretary/treasurer of the board.  

According to the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board website:

The board consists of soybean producers nominated by various producer organizations within Arkansas.  Although board members contribute many hours of their time to administering the program, they serve without pay.

West Higginbothom of Marianna was named vice chairman.
