Jonesboro Pool Center to open with a big splash
Just in time for summer.
The Jonesboro Pool Center, 1421 West Nettleton Ave., will open Tuesday, July 2.
The grand opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with a brief presentation followed by an inaugural dive performed by the Jonesboro Jets swim team.
At noon the public can dive in and enjoy the cool waters.
In addition to the ceremony, there will also be free hot dogs and chips as well as free ice cream and frozen custard.
The new pool center is located at the old YMCA facility.
