On March 30, Robert Peevey, a patrolman with the Arkansas State University Police Department, responded to a call of a student passed out in a residence hall.
When Officer Peevey arrived at the scene, he found the student was not breathing and did not have a pulse.
After summoning an Automated External Defibrillator Device, Officer Peevey began CPR.
He successfully resuscitated the student before the ambulance arrived.
On Friday, August 10, the university recognized Officer Peevey for his outstanding performance and dedication to public service.
