Northeast Arkansas’s only neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) just received a generous donation from a group of community leaders.

The Advocates recently gave $150,000 to St. Bernards for its new NICU.

According to a news release from St. Bernards:

The gift is part of a two-year pledge designated for the NICU from The Advocates.  The money was raised primarily through The Advocates’ signature fund-raiser, Triple Swing, an annual three-day event held over a long weekend every year that includes a casual dinner/dance, a tennis tournament and a golf tournament.

The volunteer group also has earmarked money that will be raised from this year’s June 22-24 Triple Swing for the NICU, the only neonatal intensive care unit in eastern Arkansas.
