15-year-old suspect arrested in store robbery | Crime
Jonesboro police have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a convenience store robbery.
The hold-up happened around 9 p.m. Saturday at the Shell gas station located at 2925 Stadium Blvd.
An employee told police a black male wearing a white shirt, brown pants, black hat and a red bandana robbed her at gunpoint.
The woman said the suspect pointed a black handgun at her and demanded all of the money, according to the report.
The victim told officers she asked the suspect if he was going to kill her.
According to the police report, the suspect replied, “If you don’t do exactly what I say I will kill you.”
The suspect gave the employee a “red and white cloth bag with flowers on it” and demanded she put all the money in the register into the bag, according to the report.
After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect ran northbound from the store.
Several witnesses at America’s Best Value Inn, 2901 Phillips Dr., told police they saw the suspect get into a brown or gold SUV and drive away.
They described the suspect as being 5’10” weighing 250 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
According to the initial report, officers arrested a 15-year-old male suspect on Sunday. He was described by police as being 5’8” and weighing 250 pounds.
Because of his age, the suspect's name has not been released.
