Man suspected of inappropriately touching store clerk | Crime
A Region 8 man charged with raping a 12-year-old girl is now suspected of inappropriately touching at least two store clerks.
Jonesboro police say Brent Crow, 19, of Paragould was caught on store surveillance video Tuesday night stroking a Target clerk’s face as she rang up his purchase.
It occurred as the woman was finishing the transaction. As she was retrieving his change from the register, a man police identified as Crow reached out and stroked her face with the back of his hand.
The clerk told Jonesboro police this was not the first time Crow has touched her.
She said on Saturday Crow walked up behind her at a register while she was waiting on other customers and “ran his hand down her neck.”
The 21-year-old woman said she was “afraid to report it” and thought it was just a “weird one time occurrence.”
When he did it again on Tuesday, the woman said she was “scared of what he might do later.”
Security video also showed Crow approach another clerk, reach out and stroke her cheek while she stood behind the register.
According to the police report, the woman said she went to school with Crow and he “does this all the time.” She said it didn’t bother her.
Police have notified mall security to have Crow banned from the store.
Trent Edwards, director of security at the Mall at Turtle Creek, told us they “will work with the security loss/prevention team at Target in any manner they can to help assist them in this investigation."
Crow was one of 13 men arrested in April in an underage sex investigation. He was charged with rape of a minor.
