Police arrest man after he was attacked by "zombies" | Crime
“We are all going to die because of the zombie apocalypse.”
That’s what David Waylon Kemp reportedly told Jonesboro police when they found him around 3 o'clock Saturday morning.
According to Officer Bobby Swan’s initial police report, the 21-year-old Jonesboro man was “wearing blue shorts, no shirt and carrying an umbrella” when he was spotted pulling on doors near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Bridge Street.
Swan said when he approached Kemp, the suspect tried to run away but he caught him.
When asked why he was running, Kemp told the officer that “zombies were chasing him,” according to the report.
After noticing an injury to Kemp’s finger, the officer asked what had happened. Kemp reportedly said “a zombie slammed a car door on it and cut the tip off.”
Swan took Kemp into custody and transported him to a local hospital. While there, Kemp reportedly said “We are all going to die because of the zombie apocalypse” then took all of his clothes off.
After he was discharged from the hospital, Kemp was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center where he was cited for fleeing and drunk, insane and disorderly conduct.
