Level 3 sex offender arrested again | Crime
Once again a Level 3 sex offender is locked up in the Craighead County Detention Center, accused of failing to register with law enforcement.
Monday afternoon officers arrested Gregory Moore, 30, on charges of failing to register, probation violation and being a registered offender living near a school or daycare.
According to court records, Moore pleaded guilty to fourth degree sexual assault in 2010. He is currently on parole for failing to register in Craighead County and was placed on felony probation for failing to register in Pulaksi County.
When Moore was released from the Pulaski County Jail on June 25 he reportedly said he would be living in the 100-block of State Street in Jonesboro. According to the report, the home is located within 2000 feet of a daycare center.
On Monday, however, Moore reportedly told his parole officer he had lived at the State Street location just three days before moving to the 500-block of Meadowbrook, which is within 2000 feet of the Jonesboro Microsociety Magnet School on West Washington.
Later that afternoon officers found Moore at a business in the 600-block of South Gee Street which, according to the initial police report, is located next door to a day care.
On Tuesday a judge found probable cause to charge Moore.
This is not the first time Moore has failed to comply with the sex offender registry requirements. In May of 2012 he told Jonesboro police he was staying at the Villa Apartments, located near the Success School. The following day he was arrested.
