Man arrested after trying to 'go to bed' at Taco Bell | Crime
A Missouri man looking for a place to sleep early Saturday morning didn’t find it at Taco Bell. But, he did find an empty cot at the Craighead County Detention Center.
Jonesboro police arrested 25-year-old Aaron J. Oliver of Hillsboro after finding him at 2 a.m. in the restaurant parking lot, asking to be let inside.
According to the initial police report, Oliver was leaning against the glass with his hand on the door handle.
When asked what he was doing, Oliver told the officer to “leave him alone,” that he just wanted to “go in and go to bed.”
The officer stated in his report that Oliver had a “strong odor of intoxicant, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.”
When the officer asked Oliver if he knew where he was, Oliver reportedly made a face and replied in a sarcastic tone “Arkansas.”
Oliver was arrested and taken to the CCDC where he was charged with public intoxication.
