Woman charged with stealing $80,000 from Abilities Unlimited | Crime
Jonesboro police say an accountant for Abilities Unlimited stole more than $80,000 from the non-profit organization.
Lora Lachelli Tyler, 44, of Jonesboro appeared in district court Wednesday where she was charged with theft greater than $25,000.
According to court records, Tyler admitted to using the company’s payroll system to make extra paychecks for herself.
Darren May, chief operations officer for Abilities Unlimited, told Jonesboro police that $80,615.29 had been stolen from the business from August 2011 until now.
Tyler’s bond was set at $2,500.
