Elderly woman claims armed robber threatened to 'blow her head off' | Crime
An elderly Jonesboro woman told police a man forced his way into her home Monday afternoon and robbed her at gunpoint.
The victim told police the man knocked on the door of her home in the 3300-block of Forest Hill Road sometime after 6 p.m.
When the 73-year-old woman opened the door, she said he forced himself inside the home and pointed a small black gun at her.
According to the police report, the man told her to “quit screaming or he would blow her head off.”
The suspect locked the deadbolt behind him then demanded the woman’s purse, the report stated.
The victim told police the man stole her purse and two cordless phones before leaving in a white four-door car.
The suspect was described as a 6’2” white male in his 30s, weighing 250 pounds with lower lip hair.
At this time police have no suspects.
