JPD arrests 5, searching for 5 more in forgery case | Crime
A months-long forgery investigation has led to the arrest of five people and Jonesboro police searching for five more.
The suspects are accused of “counterfeiting checks on a management company that oversees a local apartment complex,” said Sgt. Doug Formon, public information officer for the Jonesboro Police Department.
Formon said the checks were cashed at area stores.
Detectives are working with officers in other states on similar cases and more arrests will be forthcoming, he said.
