Caught on camera: Robbery suspect urges accomplice to shoot clerk | Crime
“Shoot her, cuz.”
That’s what one man reportedly told his accomplice during a holdup of a Jonesboro convenience store. And it was all caught on camera.
Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday officers were called to Valero, located at 1708 West Nettleton, in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred.
The store clerk said two African-American men wearing hoodies and bandanas over their faces, entered the store carrying guns.
The clerk told officers one of the men reached over the counter and grabbed a register to open it while the other “came around the counter and grabbed two cartons of Newport cigarettes,” according to the initial police report.
When the first suspect couldn’t get the register open, police say he was captured on store surveillance video telling the clerk to open it.
After getting the money, the second suspect could be heard twice telling the other to “shoot her, cuz” according to the police report.
Both men then ran out of the store toward a nearby apartment complex.
On Sunday Jonesboro police were called to the complex after a resident found a backpack in the parking lot.
According to police the pack contained two hoodies that matched the description of what the robbery suspects wore.

This was the second time in less than a month that the Valero has been robbed.
