Man arrested with 3 pounds of pot | Crime
There's a little less marijuana available on the streets of Jonesboro. Three pounds less, to be exact!
On Thursday, officers arrested Amaray Q. Spencer, 33, of Blytheville for possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to delivery.
It all started when police received information that Spencer was selling marijuana.
An officer spotted Spencer parked on the side of Distributor Drive in a 2000 Cadillac DeVille.
After a short while under observation, officers say Spencer then drove off.
When officers with the 3rd Judicial Task Force began following him, he reportedly "began driving very dangerously by running stop signs and traveling at a high rate of speed."
Spencer then pulled into the driveway of a house in the 3100 block of Fairview.
When he stepped out of the car, according to police, he had a black trash bag containing 3 pounds of marijuana.
Spencer was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
He is currently free on bond.
