A Wynne man faces felony charges after he was arrested for tossing drugs out of a car.

Craighead County sheriff’s deputies arrested Rayford Pryor, 35, early Sunday morning at a safety checkpoint on Highway 1 at CR 428.

While talking to the driver of the car, a deputy reportedly saw a meth pipe sticking out of Pryor’s left front pocket.

According to the incident report, deputies searched Pryor and found ice methamphetamine and a clonazepam pill.

The driver told deputies Pryor had tossed something out of the car when they saw the checkpoint.  Deputies reportedly searched the area and found a bag containing 9 more clonazepam pills, 2 oxycontin pills, a xanax bar, 2 alprazolam pills and 3 nickel bags of marijuana.

Pryor was charged with felony drug paraphernalia with intent to use and felony possession of a controlled substance.

He’s being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.
