Man arrested for tossing pills, pot out of car | Crime
A Wynne man faces felony charges after he was arrested for tossing drugs out of a car.
Craighead County sheriff’s deputies arrested Rayford Pryor, 35, early Sunday morning at a safety checkpoint on Highway 1 at CR 428.
While talking to the driver of the car, a deputy reportedly saw a meth pipe sticking out of Pryor’s left front pocket.
According to the incident report, deputies searched Pryor and found ice methamphetamine and a clonazepam pill.
The driver told deputies Pryor had tossed something out of the car when they saw the checkpoint. Deputies reportedly searched the area and found a bag containing 9 more clonazepam pills, 2 oxycontin pills, a xanax bar, 2 alprazolam pills and 3 nickel bags of marijuana.
Pryor was charged with felony drug paraphernalia with intent to use and felony possession of a controlled substance.
He’s being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.
