Parolee suspected of stealing RV | Crime
Jonesboro police say a parole violator may be on the run in a stolen RV.
Scott Alan Tyner, 38, of Jonesboro is suspected of stealing a white 2007 Ford Econoline E450 motor home from Fletcher Dodge.
According to Jonesboro police, Tyner took the $34,500 RV for a test drive with an employee on Tuesday. After dropping the employee off at the dealership, Tyner then told general manager he wanted to show the vehicle to his wife and kids who were “at the mall.” When Tyner didn’t return two hours later, police were called.
Officer Michael McCanless said while on his way to Tyner’s listed address he was flagged down by Tyner’s father who reportedly said “my son had messed up and is probably running because he missed his appointment with his probation officer.”
According to the police report, Tyner missed an appointment with his parole officer who said he “knew that he was going to have jail time based on a parole violation.”
It’s believed Tyner may be headed to Missouri in the RV.
In an unrelated case, someone stole a 2003 Chevy Tahoe from Car-Mart, 1315 Stadium Blvd. sometime between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
The vehicle was described as a white Z71 Tahoe with tinted windows, mud tires and a black push bar on the front. The truck was valued at $17,599.
