Jonesboro drug store burglarized

Jonesboro police are searching for a man they say broke into a pharmacy Wednesday night and stole more than $1,200 in drugs.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Officer Jamie Seaborn answered a glass breakage alarm at The Medicine Shoppe, 325 Southwest Dr.

According to Officer Seaborn’s report, the suspect was captured on surveillance video backing up a silver Kia Sorento to the store.

The driver, who was described as a man wearing a hooded shirt, then broke out a window on the north side of the building.  Officer Seaborn said it appeared the man had a gun in his right hand.

Once inside the store, the burglar was videotaped filling a large plastic box with multiple medications.

The man then left the store in “an unknown direction.”

If you have any information on this burglary, call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
