"Strong odor" leads to man's arrest | Crime

A “strong chemical odor” reported coming from a room at Motel 6, 2300 S. Caraway Rd., led to a man’s arrest on drug charges

Kyle E. Bowman, 22, of Jonesboro was arrested just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday after a police officer responding to the motel found him hiding in the bathroom of another motel guest’s room.

Knowing he was wanted on warrants, the officer handcuffed Bowman and then searched his pockets.  The officer reported finding an empty cellophane baggie containing suspected meth residue.

The officer then went to Bowman’s room where he reported finding two syringes.

Bowman was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.
