JPD: Woman accosted, shot while walking dog

Jonesboro police are searching for three teens suspected of shooting a woman in the breast with a pellet gun.

Mandy Wright, 36, told police she was walking her pit bull in the 2200-block of Parkside Road Sunday afternoon when she was approached by three African-American teenaged boys.

Wright said the boys began cussing at her and calling her names.

One of the boys reportedly pulled out an Airsoft pellet gun and pointed it sideways at Wright.

When Wright approached the boys, according to the police report, “something then hit her in the breast.”

She told police the three teens then ran south on Sutton then on Middlefield toward Race Street.
