Cable thieves to blame for phone outage

On Tuesday, July 10, AT&T received at least 17 calls from customers complaining of service outages.

An employee found the cause:  approximately 100 feet of cable had been cut and stolen in the 400-block of East Philadelphia Road.

Danny White told police it would cost AT&T approximately $2,000 to replace the cable.

The police department has increased patrol in the area.
