JPD: Burglar ransacks home, kills man's dog | Crime
A Jonesboro man returned from work early Friday morning to find his home ransacked and his dog dead.
Just after 1 a.m. officers were called to a home in the 2200-hundred block of Sutton Avenue.
When they arrived they found the back door kicked in and the living room tossed.
The man’s pit bull had also been shot and killed. The dog was found dead in its bed. A brass shell casing was found nearby, police said.
The victim said the crooks stole a Remington 30.06 rifle, a Remington 12-gauge shotgun and a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol. Also taken were a two TVs, including a 60-inch flat screen TV; a laptop computer and two game consoles.
