JHS football players robbed while at practice

Police say while some Jonesboro High School (JHS)football players attended a football camp, thieves entered the locker room and stole cash, cell phones, and even a pair of shoes.

Coach Randy Coleman told police he took the students to Valley View High School for a football training camp just before 4:30 p.m. Monday.  When the team arrived back at JHS just before 8 p.m. they found four cell phones, a house key, a pair of Under Armor shoes and $150 in cash stolen from their lockers.  The total value of the items stolen, according to the police report, was $1,769.

Coach Coleman told police he “walked around the field house and found one of the back doors propped open with a cleat.”  He said the students never use that door.

Police do not have any suspects at this time.
