Woman claims she was attacked, robbed at hotel | Crime
A woman staying at a Jonesboro hotel told police four women beat her and stole her $440 Louis Vuitton handbag, diamond earrings and food stamp card.
According to Officer Gary Jackson’s report, the woman claimed four women she knew from Newport came to her room at the Lexington Suite, 2909 Kazi, around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
She said the women asked her about her involvement with their boyfriends. She told Officer Jackson the discussion became violent and they began to hit and kick her.
The alleged victim said before they ran out of the room the women grabbed her Louis Vuitton purse, valued at $440. She said the bag contained $176 in cash, a pair of diamond earrings valued at $200, and a $10 wallet containing five Social Security cards belonging to her and her children, 4 Medicaid cards belonging to her children, as well as a Social Security benefits card and a food stamp card.
A tire on the woman’s 2003 Dodge Neon had also been punctured with a knife, according to Officer Jackson’s report. He also said the victim had several scratches and bruises to her left eye and forehead, as well as scratches and bruises on the left side of her back and rib area.
