Jonesboro police are investigating a series of car thefts.

At least four of the break-ins occurred in the 600-block of Alpine Street, according to the incident reports.

Two car stereos, valued at $100 and $250, were stolen along with a $200 GPS.  Another victim reported to police a Panasonic stereo faceplate, valued at $150, was stolen from her pickup truck.

According to Officer David McDaniel’s initial report, one victim’s stereo was found on the ground next to another victim’s vehicle.

None of the cars had any sign of forced entry and there was no noticeable damage.

In an separate case, a woman told police her child saw a “white unknown male” rummaging in her car parked in the 3400-block of Sun.  When she went to investigate, she said the glove box had been dumped out and $16 was missing.
