JPD: Shoplifter stole security system

Apparently, even crooks need a little extra security.

Jonesboro police say on Monday, August 13, a man stole two security systems, valued at $700, from Walmart, 1815 E. Highland.

According to the incident report, the man was videotaped taking two Samsung camera security systems from the electronics department.  The man then went into the storage department where he placed the systems into a plastic tub with a lid.  The man then left the store without paying.

The store’s loss prevention manager identified the man and said he had stolen several items from the store in the past.
