Vandals break church sign, smear feces on walls | Crime
Vandals apparently used an unlocked basement door to gain entry to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2201 S. Culberhouse.
Once inside, Jonesboro police say the hoodlums smeared feces on the walls of the men’s and women’s bathrooms.
Rev. Charles Sigman said a basement door had been left unlocked and he believes that’s how the suspects got inside.
He also reported someone had thrown something at the sign on the southeast corner of the building and broke it. He placed the value of the sign at $2,000.
Sigman told the reporting officer he believed juveniles were responsible; but, he had no further description.
