JPD: Man robbed at gunpoint | Crime
Jonesboro police are searching for two men accused of robbing another man at gunpoint.
The hold-up occurred just before 10:30 Tuesday night in the 500-block of State St.
The victim told police two African-American men in their late teens approached him as he was getting out of his pickup truck.
He told Officer Timothy Burns one of the men, who was heavy set, pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money. He said the other suspect kept yelling “shoot the mother-(expletive).”
The victim said after he handed over his wallet, which contained $80 and a debit card, the two men ran north toward Belt St.
A K-9 unit was called in to help search for the suspects, who were described as wearing black pants and black T-shirts, and reportedly showed interest in two nearby apartments. But, Officer Burns reported that after receiving consent to search the apartments, officers were unable to locate the suspects or any evidence.
