Man accused of stealing condoms, ExtenZe male enhancement | Crime
A man accused of stealing condoms and a male enhancement product faces several charges, including theft and public intoxication.
Just before 7 p.m. Tuesday police were called to Walmart, 1911 W. Parker Road, in reference to a shoplifter.
The store’s loss prevention manager told officers he witnessed the subject, later identified as 41-year-old Carl D. Campbell of Jonesboro, steal a package of Trojan condoms and a package of Extenze male enhancement.
When the manager tried to stop Campbell at the front of the store, he said Campbell shoved him and ran past him.
Officers called to the scene found Campbell in a nearby storm drain. They took him back to the store where the loss prevention manager identified him and said that he had been “criminally banned from all Walmart premises at the Ashford, NC store.”
Officer Aaron Morphis then took Campbell to the Craighead County Detention Center where he was charged with robbery, theft of property, criminal trespass, fleeing and public intoxication. According to Officer Morphis’s report, Campbell “was extremely intoxicated and smelled heavily of intoxicant.”
