Man caught on camera vandalizing ATM

If you’re going to write profanities on an ATM, remember they have cameras.

On Tuesday an employee of Liberty Bank, 2901 E. Highland, reported someone had written “F*** U” on the back of an ATM machine.

According to Officer Dustin Smith’s initial report, the vandalism was caught on another ATM's camera.

At 9:10 p.m. Monday a dark blue or dark green Ford F-150 XLT pickup truck reportedly pulled up to an automated teller machine.

While a named suspect completed a transaction, his passenger was photographed leaning out of the truck and writing on the back of another machine with a black marker.

According to Officer Smith, bank employees were able to wash off much of the writing; but, a stain from the marker remained.

Bank officials said they would provided a DVD of the incident as soon as possible.  When identified, the suspect faces a misdemeanor Criminal Mischief charge.
