Drive-through thief dips into ice cream store's register | Crime
Jonesboro police say someone used the drive-through window to dip into a local ice cream shop’s cash.
Just before 10 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to Bruster’s Ice Cream, 2702 Alexander Drive, on a theft of property call.
The manager told police the business was short $205 from the previous night’s deposit.
Apparently on Saturday night officers were called to the store after workers reported seeing a white car circling the business.
When one of the workers took out the garbage, she reported seeing a man standing beside the drive-through window.
The woman ran back to the store to alert another worker. That’s when they saw the window by the register was open. The money was collected and placed in the night deposit. On Sunday morning the manager reportedly counted the deposit and discovered the discrepancy.
Police do not have any suspects at this time.
