Shoplifters accused of stealing body wash, Sour Patch candy | Crime
Before police arrested them, a couple of Jonesboro men must have had a big evening planned.
Police say on Tuesday a Walmart employee witnessed Andre L. White and Demarcus S. Willis stuff nearly $300 worth of men’s clothing, personal care items, Axe body spray, body wash and Sour Patch candy in some bags and then walk out of the Highland Drive store without paying.
An officer took Willis and White to the Craighead County Detention Center where they were charged with shoplifting-$1,000 or less. They were each given a $420 surety bond and ordered to appear in court on October 17.
In an unrelated case, 35-year-old Jennifer Lynn McIntire was arrested at the store earlier in the day on the same charge.
The Trumann woman was accused of stealing more than $250 worth of digital equipment, including a USB adapter, a network cable and two computer mice.
While searching McIntire, the arresting officer reportedly found a plastic baggie containing 8 pills later identified as Xanax.
McIntire was taken to the CCDC and charged with shoplifting-$1,000 or less, criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.
She’s being held on a $1,455 surety bond.
