Family Dollar store robbed at gunpoint | Crime
Jonesboro police are investigating an armed robbery at a local dollar store.
Just before 9 p.m. Sunday, two African-American men wearing all-black and panty hose over their heads, robbed the Family Dollar store located at 106 S. Gee.
According to employees, the men entered the store as they were completing their nightly deposits.
They described one of the men as being short and heavyset. They said the other man, who was holding a long-barreled silver handgun, was tall and slender.
The gunman reportedly ordered one of the employees to open the safe while the other man ordered another employee to empty the register.
After getting the money, the men then forced the two employees into northwest corner of the building before leaving.
At this time police do not have any suspects.
