JPD: Crooks damage UCP van, drain gas tank | Crime
Jonesboro police have beefed up patrols in one neighborhood after someone stole several gallons of gasoline from a van belonging to the local United Cerebral Palsy office.
On Monday an officer was dispatched to the 1800-block of Woodsprings Road.
Vicki Romine, ACS coordinator, said sometime between October 12, when the Ford E-350 van was last used, and Monday someone cut the gas cap off and removed approximately 25 gallons of fuel.
According to the police report, the area is not lit up at night and there were no cameras on the van.
The address was placed on the extra patrol list and Romine was advised to contact the police department if she becomes aware of any additional information.
