JPD: Woman arrested with 2 bags of meth hidden in 3 bras

Jonesboro police say a woman wearing three bras had meth hidden in them.

On Wednesday officers arrested Cordelia E. McCann, 38, and Paul L. Jennings, 62, following a traffic stop on Rains.

According to the initial police report, when asked if she had anything illegal on her person, McCann told one of the officers “she had two bras on and that it was in the second one.  She actually had three bras on.”

The officer took her to the front of the patrol car, where it could be captured on camera, and “retrieved a plastic bag from the right side that contained a very small amount of suspected methamphetamine in it.”  Another bag containing suspected meth was found on her left side.

Because she was wanted on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance, the officer transported McCann to her home in the 900-block of Rains Street for a probation search.  There he reported finding a set of digital scales and metal crack pipe.

Officers searched Jennings’ GMC Sierra pickup truck and reported finding drugs, including Xanax and hydrocodone.  An officer then searched Jennings and found tow baggies containing a “white powdery substance” believed to be methamphetamine, in the small coin pouch of the right front pocket of his jeans, according to the police report.

Jennings was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.  McCann was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  At last report both were still locked up in the Craighead County Detention Center.
