JPD: Pair claims they were attacked by mob | Crime
A Jonesboro man and a teenaged girl say as many as 8 people attacked them for no reason, leaving the girl with a bloody nose.
According to the incident report, the attack took place just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Race Street and Richardson.
Donald Stevens, 20, told police several people, both male and female, attacked him and a 13-year-old girl, hitting them repeatedly.
Both victims said the attack was unprovoked.
“One particularly aggressive male, wearing a white Aeropostle shirt, struck (the girl) in the mouth and nose, causing her to bleed,” according to the initial police report.
Following the attack the group reportedly ran away, heading north on Richardson.
Stevens told police the group had threatened him in the past, but he did not know who they were.
At this time, police have no suspects.
