Shoplifter surprise: movie boxes were empty | Crime

A woman who police say stole several movie boxes from a convenience store Monday morning must have received quite a surprise when she got home.  The boxes were empty.

Just before 11:30 a.m. a female shoplifter was caught on surveillance video at Jordan’s Quick Stop, 4502 E. Nettleton , stuffing movie boxes into a large handbag.

The store manager told police the movies are kept behind the counter.  So, the woman was just stealing empty boxes.

After filling her purse, video showed the woman leave the store in a Buick passenger car.
