Barber robbed at gunpoint | Crime
A Jonesboro barber said he was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening while he was cleaning his shop.
Reginald Williams told police he was cleaning his shop Amazing Fades, located at 3915 E. Nettleton, when a man came to the door around 8 o’clock.
When Williams opened the door to tell him he was closed, he said the man pulled a High Point .380 or 9mm from his jacket and demanded cash.
Williams emptied his pockets and placed the items, which included a Samsung Galaxy 3 phone and a Walmart card, on a nearby chair.
After telling the man he didn’t have any money, Williams said the gunman hit him in the face twice with the pistol, then ordered him to the ground.
The man then searched Williams’ pockets and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. According to the incident report, the man also pulled a necklace off of Williams before running out of the store.
Williams told police he ran after the robber, but the man got away.
He described the suspect as being between six-feet and six-feet-two with long dreads. The man was dressed in a black pullover jacket with white and red lettering. He was also wearing black sweatpants and a baseball cap.
