Shopper burned after suspects ask for recipe help

Police say a couple of women cooked up a scheme to steal a woman's wallet by asking her for help making banana pudding.

A Jonesboro woman said her wallet was stolen Saturday afternoon while she shopped at the Cash Saver Grocery store, 3106 Southwest Drive.

The woman said she was approached by two women who asked if she knew how to make banana pudding.

The victim said while one of the women distracted her, the other stole her wallet.

It wasn't until the two suspects left the store that the woman said she realized the wallet was missing from her purse.

The victim told police there was no money in the wallet, which had belonged to her deceased mother, but it did contain credit and debit cards, as well as medical cards and other documents.
