Man accused of opening fire on downtown street | Crime
Jonesboro police arrested a man Tuesday night after they say he opened fire outside a downtown club.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed in District Court on Wednesday, 24-year-old Logan Dwayne Stewart is charged with aggravated assault, a Class D felony.
He’s accused of pointing a semi-automatic handgun at several people outside of Cregeen’s Irish Pub, 201 South Main, then firing several shots into the air.
Officers reportedly found several spent casings and a live round of Fiocchi brand .45 caliber ammunition in the street.
According to the pub’s manager, Stewart had just been kicked out of the bar for causing a disturbance inside.
Several minutes later officers located Stewart driving a vehicle, according to the court records. Inside the car officers found a loaded semi-automatic .45 caliber firearm loaded with Fiocchi brand ammunition.
Stewart is currently in custody at the Craighead County Jail. He’s scheduled to appear in court on February 28.
