JPD: Man arrested after urinating on downtown sidewalk

A man arrested for urinating on a downtown sidewalk had a blood alcohol content three times the state limit, according to Jonesboro police.

Early Sunday morning Officer Blake Easley reported seeing 22-year-old Baron P. Lorance of Walnut Ridge “staggering down the sidewalk of Main St.”

Easley said Lorance removed his genitalia and began urinating as he walked.  “I could see where he had left a trail of urine from several feet back,” Easley reported.

Easley reported Lorance had “slurred speech” and couldn’t explain why he was urinating in public nor could he say where he was going.

“When asked where he was headed to, [Lorance] nodded his head to my patrol unit and said ‘this officer’s car,’” Easley reported.

Easley took Lorance into custody and transported him to the Craighead County Detention Center where he reportedly blew a .246 on a preliminary breath test.

Lorance was left at the CCDC on a $205 surety bond.
