JPD: Theft victim was a wanted woman

A woman who claimed someone stole a wallet from her apartment Wednesday night found herself behind bars.

Pamela Jones reportedly told police while she was at Church’s Chicken, someone entered her home in the 300-block of Calion and stole her black and white zebra-striped wallet containing $200.

During his investigation, Officer Nick Dean was notified by dispatch that Jones was wanted on a Craighead County bench warrant.

Dean arrested Jones and took her to the Craighead County Detention Center where she was placed on a hold for the warrant.

As for the stolen wallet, Officer Dean reported he found no signs of forced entry.  There are no suspects at this time.
