Chik-Fil-A helping co-worker fighting cancer | Events
On June 11, Kalee James was diagnosed with Stage 4b Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
According to friends, the 19-year-old Jonesboro woman is at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis undergoing treatment for three masses in her chest and a spot on her lung.
They say Kalee is “optimistic, positive and trusting the Lord in all of this.” While some teenage girls would be devastated at the prospect of losing their hair, Kalee reportedly asked “I wonder what my new hair will look like? I wonder if it will be blonde again and maybe curly this time?”
For customers of Chik-Fil-A at Turtle Creek, Kalee may be a familiar face. She has been a part of their team for more than two years.
To help Kalee as she battles this disease, her team members will be collecting donations today until 10 p.m. What’s more, 10 percent of today’s sales will be given to Kalee and her family.
Donations can be made in the dining room and in the drive-through.
