Blue Monday concert series to end on a rockin' note

Blue Monday concert series to end on a rockin' note

It's the end of an era.

KASU Radio's Blue Monday concert series in Paragould will end tonight with a performance by rockabilly pianist and vocalist Rockin’ Luke Stroud.

The Blue Monday concerts first began in Jonesboro in 1998.  In 2006 they added a Paragould version.  The Jonesboro version closed two years later, but Paragould kept enjoying the blues.  Tonight, that all ends.

According to KASU Station Manager Mike Doyle, the concerts in the past year or so "haven’t drawn the attendance we wished for, and we weren’t able to make this series continue."
