Ronnie Lynn Woodard

Ronnie Lynn Woodard, a resident of Marked Tree, Arkansas, departed this life, Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at home, with his family at his side, at the age of sixty-two. He was born on, November 25, 1949, in Lake City, Arkansas, the son of Hearl Clarence and Nellie Marie (Spears) Woodard. Ronnie married Miss Betty Faye Dye on May 8, 1970.

He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Lake City and retired as a welder for Atwoods in Rockford, Illinois, before moving back to Arkansas. He enjoyed collecting rocks, hunting arrowheads, fishing, nature, and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Jerry Woodard, Roy Woodard and Eddie May. 

Ronnie is survived his wife of forty-two years: Betty Woodard of the home, three sons: Ronnie Woodard, Jr. of Blytheville, Arkansas, Jerry Woodard of Nebraska, and Donald Woodard of California, one daughter: Paula Woodard of Warren, Michigan, four brothers: Larry Woodard of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Bradley Woodard of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Willard May of Memphis, Tennessee, Roger May of DeQueen, Arkansas, four sisters: Sheila Pigg of Oklahoma, Reba Tackett of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Shirley Dye of Trumann, Arkansas, and Darlene Tidmore of Oklahoma, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Caraway Cemetery, in Caraway, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the service at the Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
