Hospital hosting free nursing camp for kids | Health

High school students interested in a career in healthcare are invited to attend the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital Nursing Camp.

The free three-day camp will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, through Thursday, June 28.

Participants will receive CPR, first aid and vital sign training.  They will also have the opportunity to job shadow a healthcare professional for a more hands-on learning experience.  They will also be given a tour of the hospital.

“Nurse Camp is a great opportunity for students to see what takes place on a daily basis in a hospital setting and a great introduction for young people to see the different vocations that health care has to offer,” said Stephanie Taylor, Staff Development Specialist at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.
