Proof that spring has sprung

Proof that spring has sprung

Spring has sprung.

And SGM (Ret.) Frank Staples of Piggott has the proof.

Frank sent this photo of the first clutch of eggs in his bluebird house.  He says last year they "had 4 clutches with a total of 14 new bluebirds."

How has spring sprung in your neighborhood?  Send your photos to YourRegion8@kait8.com and we'll share them with your community.

Lunch, learn and garden at the library

Lunch, learn and garden at the library

Spring has sprung.  For many warmer weather means it’s time to get the garden started.

To help your garden grow, the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is offering two lunch and learn programs in April.

On Wednesday, April 3, pack a lunch and head to the library’s Round Room where Eric Grant from the Craighead County Extension Office, will show you how to create a container garden.

The following week Master Gardener Erlene Wise will be teaching herb gardening on Wednesday, April 10.
