Police name suspect in Friday morning’s standoff | News

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro Police have released the name of the suspect they're looking for in Friday's possible hostage situation.
Jonesboro Police say Aremon Wilkins broke into his ex-girlfriend's home around 7:30am Friday morning on the corner of Parkwood Drive. The woman was able to escape, but her 7-year-old daughter was left behind.
Police and SWAT were both called to the scene and police began trying to make contact with the suspect.
Around 10:30am police broke a window into the home and began to make entry. Police were able to make contact with the 7-year-old and rescue her to a nearby police car. Police searched the home, but Wilkins was not inside.
Police say Wilkins does have warrants out for his arrest, but have not said what he is wanted for.
