JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas was filled with volunteers Wednesday afternoon.
Around 25 Unilever Executives spent their day packing lunches for the back pack program.
But it wasn't just Jonesboro getting in on the act. Employees as far away as Europe, Brazil and North and South America helped with the program. They decided to get involved because they wanted to do what they could to help.
"The work that they do here, that Christy and her team do here, meeting the needs of the local community is just fantastic," Unilever Volunteer Robb Vrbicek said. "We wanted to contribute, both with center labor hours and we also gave a community donation."
The donation that Unilever made was $15,000.
